The two-hour Monday morning seminar will focus this week on the hardest part of bridge, the opening lead. On average you will be giving away a trick on every second hand you defend. Even the very best professionals get only 80% of their opening leads right. It is that difficult. You have to learn to listen to the bidding and draw both positive and negative inferences from what you hear. The level is intermediate. The normal Tuesday morning supervised play session will be running again this week (12th January), starting at 9.30am. I shall look forward to seeing you all. Please let me know as early possible that you intend to join, ideally by early Monday event as it makes it so much easier to arrange the tables and reduce the risk of having to turn one of you away. The maximum number we can currently handle is 16.
